12月26日 Gush-MeetSaturday 16th of December was my very first Gush-Meet, held at Lake Weeroona. A short summary of the day involves myself, Joanna, Squid, Godiswatching, 5levelsofdata, Cozmos, BelovedGirl and FireBird meeting up at Lake Weeroona for a BBQ lunch. Once everyone finally arrived we spent time eating and bumming around and going on Gush on Cozmos' phone. Finally Squid had to go to some pool thing so we dropped him off and climbed the tower in the park. We watched this lady run up and down the tower over and over... she had so much energy! After the tower visit we ended up doing some quick shopping so some of the guys could buy some clothing to go swimming in. We did that and then Belovedgirl and myself dropped Joanna at home whilst the others continued to the caravan park, where we joined them shortly after. After setting up the marquee between the caravans we went to the parks pool where 5levels, Godiswatching and Cozmos had a dip and some of us (ie: me) managed to get our bottom half soaked without actually getting in the water (and it was discovered I have very ticklish feet) We then headed off to KFC for dinner. From this point Belovedgirl went home and the rest of us (by now there were 4) went back to the caravan park. We watched Hitch, with subtitles, the speakers were too quiet. in a way this was good, as some of us spoke throughout the whole movie. I then went home just after 12 when my sister picked me up. In all, was a GREAT day, was good to meet Belovedgirl, Cozmos, 5level and Godiswatching. Was also good to get out of the house and socialise which is something I hadn't done since school finished. On a final note: ducks go quack, marquees are red, you can fit a person in a marquee bag, and Cozmos is part seal, part dolphin. Anyway, so concludes an extremely short version of my first Gush meet. There was more but meh VGStart of December was VG. Was a good weekend being able to catch up with everyone who I haven't seen for ages, form better friendships with others, that kind of stuff... the usual really.
Was weird being a rover, I had to be careful how I acted around the venturers (well, was really only one) and I was there to work. However, BTRC ended up running the jelly wrestling... which was held at the same time I had the twirling workshop, so I couldn't help out :( darn, what a pity, lol. However, I spent most of the weekend at the Frat Tent with Alpha Theta Rovers "helping out" lol. Although Saturday night disco I actually dia have to work. Rach got a call over the radio to grab a few rovers/leaders and go to the disco tent to remove anyone wearing thongs or other inappropriate footwear as someone had gotten a nail through the foot or something. That was probably the most work I did all weekend.
However, there was some major down points this year, one too many injuries and a devastating occurance. VG won't ever be the same as it will be a reminder to many. Sorry I couldn't be there for you guys after VG, I wanted to be in melbourne with you guys, not to say or do anything, just to be there for you all. my 18thI know I was 18 long ago (23 October) but I'm yet to blog about it... so here it goes.
Yep, I turned 18, was on a Monday, I finished school the Friday before, which was disappointing, meant I couldn't see my friends, also meant it wouldn't be as fun to remember who remembered and who didn't.
Didn't have an 18th, I went out for lunch with my sister and then went to work. Had my first legal drink which I shared with my sister (as I wasn't meant to be drinking before work) however, what we chose wasn't that great so I don't think we actually finished it.... I know I didn't anyway.
Came home from work, had dinner with the family, went to bed.
Wasn't too bad of a day I guess. 9月3日 Youth Alive 06Youth Alive was last night, and I am going to give an extremely short version of it!
Got there late, missed Best Before and Standing Tall. Heard Simeon, saw Fido (went nuts with them, lol). Bagged out Jesse, told Dean he isn't moving to england. Went and tried to speak to Standing Tall but just as I caught them they were about to go backstage to dump off some gear, so missed them :( Got Alex and Jesse from Fido's autographs, and Simeon.
Reggie Dabbs and some guy called Preston, both were awesome as.
There were a few dance groups, which were okay for hip-hop.
Met two guys called Jackson and Ben who are great! Spent the few hours chatting to them, which is cool. They're in a band and are thinking of coming to Bendigo, yay!!
Bought a Best Before and a Fido badge, a Fido shirt and the Fido DVD... wanted to buy more, but ran out of money, lol.
I met one person from Gush, and quite a few of the Fido Forumers, and the famous Hannah! which was rad as, considering I've stood next to her at a Fido gig before and didn't know it.
Fido wore tennis outfits and old school tennis shorts (except for Alex) oh, and I bagged out Jesse

Not much really, been bowhunting and to the uni open day, had a few 18th and what not.
Went to Melbourne with choir for the state finals of the ABC choir comps, which we won.. YAY US!! Unfortunatly we didn't go on to nationals coz only 3 choirs progressed and there's like 5 or 6 state finalists. But it was cool that we won states, especially being against Australian Boys Choir and a private girls school choir from Melbourne.
Anyway, not much else to say from my side, so I'm off

7月3日 Snow VentureWell, what an interesting week.
Had snow venture the second week of the holidays, so it was great catching up with everyone I met last year.
Not much to report, other than we had crap weather (it was too sunny!), I somehow stuffed my little toe so couldnt do any of the tours (couldnt get my boots on!), and one of the guys in my unit injured himself.
If you're reading this, yes I worried.. a lot. I wanted to come and see you but as much as I tried I couldn't and then decided to give you some space.
I had a few pranks pulled on me this year including rice bubbles in my pillow, some of my gear being glad wrapped to a pole (but it happened to everyone), and spoons being in the bell and both flags but I avoided those and didn't get hit.
The ski out was eventful with rain and strong head-on winds, so by the end we were wet, cold and buggered... was a great opportunity though, definatly added to the experience.
I love the chalet and the feel of the area, hoping to do a week 2 snow week next year as a rover, apparently week 2's are laid back and easy going... unlike week 9 who go hard at it and do really long day tours all day, come back, party hard and do the same thing again the next day.

6月21日 Scared Weird Little GuysSaw the Scared Weird Little Guys at the Capital Theatre tonight, was awesome as!!
Some of the songs they performed included Cleanin out my tuckerbag, Whistle Pops (yes, they used those lollies), Bawdy Song (christmas day), Deadly Animals, Eyes of the Spider, I've been everywhere, New Zealand, The phone book song, and a few others.
Am proud to say that... Bendigo stumped the Scardies!!! Rusty couldn't remember the words to Neighbours!
Rusty is good with a lasoo. Eaglehawk is now Krestrel-Falcon. And they like to bag Goornong. They also tell heaps of jokes.
One of them included asking us for a local mountain, which ended up being Macedon. and they were going on about asking this guy for a lift to Mount Macedon, they were worried when they headed south, which is the opposite way to Mt. Macedon, then the driver says it's been a week since he's mounted his wife Macedon (or something like that).
Oh, and they do a stunt where both of them play John's guitar! that was cool. and Rusty can play the Banjo!! he's good!!!
Yeah, not much else to say except I knew half of the songs they sung, and was able to predict jokes and knew when they changed lyrics... was kinda sad, lol
Anyway, that's my night with the Scardies!! Always knew Canada had issuesWas just talking to a guy I know who has just gotten back from Canada about a few place names over there, and about him getting consfused with Australia and Canada.
Canada has a town called Victoria, we have a state by the same name. Canada has Delbourne, we have Melbourne.
Then we got onto weird names, like Regina (interesting pronunciation), Salmon Arm (sorry Justin, but salmon don't have arms), Moosejaw. And then I had to think about the worms... no, not those weird bug type things, but The Arrogant Worms, a great band, quite patriotic too (but they're Canadian)

Recently I went to 6 hours a week as 4 were meant to be normal cleaning and 2 were meant to be cleaning of the carwash.
Well, found out tonight that things have changed again, I've been cut back to 2 hours a week. It's not worth it, a measly 2 hours.
Not to mention a little while ago (first day our manager started work) I told her Im unavailable for just over a week as I have Snow Venture... well, I'm meant to be working on Friday and Sunday and Monday, which is when I'm supposed to be at Falls Creek.. I TOLD HER THIS!
Going in to see her tomorrow to find out what the hell's going on, I'm not happy, haven't been since she started. Going to fix up my resume and apply for work at a few places, but no one wants to employ someone who is busy Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, the odd weekend here and there and the odd 4 days (although only one of those left).
Anyway, enough ranting from me ConformingI've been thinking lately, I've always said I won't have a MySpace account as that is conforming. But I was browsing through there today and realised how many of my friends have a MySpace account.
Besides, it's not like anyone actually reads this anymore.
But then, MySpace is full of emo's! and I can avoid the emo's on here. MySpace is conforming, but then, so is MSNSpaces, but no one asks if you have an MSNSpace, but everyone asks about MySpace.
I don't know if I will change or not, might give it a go if I stop getting replies on here (and my Livejournal is crappy, can't put photos on that) 6月18日 Love and Friendship.Last night was Nikki's 18th, great night, but made better by the fact I learnt how to be a better friend.
Ever connected to someone, had so much in common with them, but only known them for 2 hours? Happened to me last night. However, he liked a friend and she liked him back (I was nothing but a friend).
He wasn't going to be with her as he didn't want to destroy a friendship. It wouldn't. I took a step back for her to be happy, as she deserves someone great, as does he... they deserved each other.
Sometimes in friendships you need to take a step back from something you want to allow the other people in your lives happiness. Sometimes you need to be hurt to make things right for others. Friendship can be about pain and hurt, but when you see the smiles on anothers face, everything is made worthwhile, everything is good. Life moves on, something is around the corner. When you do step back in a situation like this, it can make friendships stronger, I hope this is one of those cases.
Sometimes the heart and the brain argue, in friendship sometimes you need to listen to your head, the one that will give the best advice about the overall picture. What's best for all. Don't forget to rely on friends for support, talk to them about what's going on.. sometimes even when they are wasted, they offer good advice.
Out of this, I think I may have made the friendship between Nadia and myself stronger, and I think (more, I hope) I have created a friendship with Ben.
Nadia, I love you to bits, I don't want anything to come between us, especially something this silly. 5月21日 What an interesting few daysHaven't been upto much recently, had a chat in the Fozzy Chat friday morning before school with Chris Jericho and Sean Delson, both from Fozzy! It was awesome. lol.
Friday night had unit elections, we now only have a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, you know it's bad when you have to drop 2 positions from the exec.
Then Saturday my brother and his girlfriend came over and told us to read the newspaper... in it was an engagement notice... he'd proposed to her when they were in QLD!!! Thats awesome, Dee rocks, glad she's the one.
Got an email yesterday, I've won myself a Sounds Like Chicken patch, forgot I'd even entered the competition. I didn't win, or else I'd be the winner of their CD, but runner up is still cool.
Then this morning I had a Psychology Revision lecture, and Aim High, where we learnt about improving memory, avoiding procrastination, etc. I learnt I can't juggle!
Other than that I haven't been upto much, just argueing about homosexuality on Gush, hence the current personal message of "If sexuality doesn't define a person, should it even matter?"

The hiking wasn't too bad when I wasn't aching, stunts were pretty good, but the VOCs were awesome as! huge thanks to auscam, you guys rock! Was great to be able to meet new people (damo, you rock my jocks! lol... hmm, wonder what happened to the guy with the green jocks), meet up with people I met last year (yes, I believe Stoner Chick has stuck... thanks Knox), and just that kinda thing. Didn't have a fave stunt, but we were remembered by Allindara who were running a stunt. I learnt some new poi moves (thanks Damo!) and hurt myself doing what is apparently called contortion (stupid back). All in all, it was a great weekend, and wish I could go back NOW! Will try to go next year as a rover (unless I am elsewhere) but what kind of a theme is Bluesea Island??? I dont know.. but we will see.
